摘要 Introduction
GATOR-S 是一種全新型態的滑板,結合了衝浪滑板的滑行流暢感以及技術滑板的特技性能。提供滑板玩家能在一般道路上暢行無阻,不再受地形的限制所使用。創造出一種全新型態的滑板玩法,打造出有別以往的滑板體驗,不僅在滑行上添加了彈力回饋,同時穩定性也幫助使用者降低受傷的風險。
The GATOR-S is an all-new skateboard that combines the smoothness of a surfboard with the stunt performance of a technical skateboard. It provides skateboarders with the ability to travel unimpeded on general roads and is no longer restricted by the terrain. A new type of skateboard play has been created, bringing a different skateboarding experience, not only in skating has it added bounce feedback, but has also helped users to reduce the risk of injury.
調查研究 - Background Research
既現有的滑板形式中,我們發現當技術滑板在一般道路中使用時,很容易因為路面凹凸或是地形阻礙而導致滑板玩家使用滑板時受傷的可能,同時也阻礙了滑行的順暢感。 同時我們發現滑板技術動作「豚跳」能輕易跳過障礙物,能大幅度讓滑板玩家降低受傷風險。
In the existing form of skateboarding, we found that when the technical skateboard is used on the general road, it is easy to cause injury to the skateboarder due to the road bump or terrain obstruction. It can also hinder the smoothness of the skating. At the same time, we found that the technical skateboard movement known as the "guinea pig jump" can easily maneuver over obstacles, which can greatly reduce the risk of injury to skateboarders.

我們結合了技術滑板的技特技性以及衝浪滑板的穩定結構,將技術滑板的結構中添加避震結構,善用扭轉彈簧的特性讓板身更加穩定,同時給於彈力回饋,創造出一種全新型態的滑板體驗。

We have combined the technical features of a typical skateboard with the stable structure of a surfboard, adding a shock absorbing structure to the skateboard structure, making use of the torsional spring to make the board more stable and giving elastic feedback at the same time, creating a new kind of skateboarding experience.

製作過程 Making Process
草模階段我們測試了軟硬度不同的彈簧後,最後決定使用較適合我們滑板設計的扭轉彈簧,板身部分從薄板測試到有厚度的設計,板面則從凹角造型到曲面做不同方面的發展。經過測試後我們採用了凹面設計的板面,結合有流線感的支架造型,打造出屬於我們的全新滑板「GATOR-S」。
After testing different springs of different hardness and softness, we finally decided to use torsion springs that are more suitable for our skateboard design. After testing, we adopted a concave design and combined it with a streamlined brace shape to create our new board "GATOR-S".
